Born out of necessity, this faint consortium of composers (originating with co-founders JEFF and Dimitri Manos) began performing minimalistic live background music, emphasizing attentive listening and reflective counteraction among players. The resulting electroacoustic phenomena they co-created quickly became a staple of obscure, uncrowded gatherings in Tucson and grew enthusiasm for a recording project.

In this new collection, SRS assemble a cohort of trusted operators to discover collective sound spaces swimming in oblique drone; opaque constructs stretching across the parallel circuits of these varied colleagues. Karima Walker, Thøger Lund, The Dictaphone (Jérémie Morin), Caleb Dailey, and Jim Waters all contribute patient experimentation to the tape.
