The "Clip" subgenre takes reference from noise music and is subdivided into four elemental categories - earthcore, firecore, watercore and aircore.

This early recording exhibits primarily earthcore, as performed by Pato moving his feet over the pavement with desperation and frustration while Andréanne talks and sings inside the husk of a tree struck by lightning. There are also hints of aircore, evidenced by the drone of airplanes and helicopters in "what are we missing?".

Side B, "the obstacle of a big gap" is a compilation of improvised lullabies muddied in high gain and illuminated by the light of red meters.
