f-e-e-l-s I feel like like I’m sitting in a white void while watching colored fabric fractals unfold before me in a way that tells me it’s alive. Really good to sit down and tear apart piece by piece. Favorite track: Candysigh.

1111222334 After a year of great music, this has been one of my favorites. Upbeat, unique, unpretentious and just fun to listen to. So glad to have this on tape. I'll enjoy it for years to come.

about

As Big Window, Jeff composed a self-titled debut with the intention to make music that would conjure inspiring visual experiences. The result is a fervent bloom of diverse textural spaces, ever-expansive and in motion. Brief moments of calm ambient fabric transmute into benevolent pulsing rhythms and open into ecstatic summits measured by a practiced restraint. The album elates, but never finds itself 'lost in the party’. Tenor sax, bass clarinet, and rolling pointillistic patterns integrate as one constantly adaptive momentum through imagined landscapes and atmospheres, resisting classification into any one genre. Unconventional percussion elements are sourced from several years' worth of field recordings and include water pumps, bicycle chains, slapping skin, and pencils on paper.
